How do I get from the Parking Garage to the Symposium site?
You will leave the garage and turn left, then turn right onto Speedway (it’s a walking plaza). Cross the street, and the SAC will be the first modern architect building on the right. Enter and follow the signs. Google map available here.
How much does it cost to attend the symposium?
$25 early bird by July 1st, $35 regular by August 1st. No on-site registration is available-the Symposium is sold out.

Where will the symposium take place on campus?
The Texas Higher Education Symposium will take place in the Student Activity Center (SAC) at The University of Texas at Austin, located at 2201 Speedway, Austin, TX 78712
How much does parking cost during the symposium?
All participants registered by the early bird deadline of July 1 will receive a parking pass for each day they attend the symposium (i.e., free parking). We will give out parking passes to anyone who registers after July 1 as they are available and until they run out. You need the parking pass to exit the garage.
If you register after July 1 and we have run out of parking passes, parking will cost the garage rate. The garage rates are available here.
How do I use the parking pass?
To use the parking pass, which is only valid in Brazos garage on August 3 or August 4:
- Park in the garage and pull a ticket.
- Keep your ticket.
- Go to registration and ask for your parking pass for the day (parking passes are only guaranteed for participants who register by July 1).
- When you exit the garage, first insert your original ticket issued by the garage, then insert the parking pass.

Go to the front desk and a staff member will assist you.
What do I need to bring?
Rooms include a micro fridge, pillow, blanket and fitted sheet. Towel service is provided daily. All other needs must be met by the participant (e.g., shampoo, soap, hair dryer, etc.).
