“Bridging the Political Divide: Educators on the Front Line”

Dr. Victoria M. DeFrancesco Soto is a professor at The University of Texas at Austin and a political scientist providing analysis to media, businesses, non-profit organizations, and academia on the implications of a rapidly changing political and economic environment. Victoria’s areas of expertise include Latino politics, the U.S.-Mexico Border, and U.S.-Mexico relations. As a media contributor, she serves as a regular political analyst for NBC and Telemundo. In academia, Victoria is also widely published in both academic and popular outlets such as POLITICO and USA Today. Victoria translates social science research into a more relatable form of information for a wide variety of domestic and international audiences.
